Everything HR Analytics does,
and how to use it.
HR Analytics turns your existing spreadsheets into nine live dashboards. This guide walks through the whole product — signing up, importing your data, reading each dashboard, and managing your team, security and plan.
Getting started
From spreadsheet to dashboard in four steps
You do not need to configure anything up front. Sign up, upload a file, and the dashboards build themselves from your data.
- 1
Create your account
Sign up with your work email or Google. Your workspace and organization are created automatically, and a 7-day free trial starts with no credit card required.
- 2
Import your HR data
Upload an Excel or CSV file for any of the eight HR datasets. Column headers are matched to fields automatically, and every row is validated before it is saved.
- 3
Read your dashboards
Open the Executive Summary for the big picture, then drill into the eight domain dashboards. Click any chart, stage or status to see the people behind the number.
- 4
Invite your team
Add teammates from Admin and assign them a role. Roles decide which dashboards each person sees and whether they can change data.
What's inside
An executive summary and eight domain dashboards
Every dashboard reads from the same employee records, so a figure means the same thing everywhere. Open any module to see its key metrics, charts and drill-downs.
Executive Summary
Headcount, active employees, attrition rate, payroll year to date, average performance and average tenure on one page, with a new-hires-versus-exits trend and a headcount-by-department chart.
Workforce Analytics
Track headcount, active employees, new hires vs. exits, attrition rate, average tenure, department distribution, and gender ratio in real-time dashboards.
See workforce metricsPayroll Analytics
Monitor total payroll spend, average salary, overtime and bonus costs, salary distribution by department, and YTD compensation trends.
See payroll metricsAttendance Analytics
Track attendance %, WFH days, late arrivals, leave days, and overtime hours by department with real-time dashboards.
See attendance metricsPerformance Analytics
Analyze ratings, identify high and low performers, measure pay-performance alignment, and track department-level performance trends.
See performance metricsRecruitment Analytics
Visualize your hiring funnel, track time to fill, measure cost per hire, analyze source of hire effectiveness, and monitor offer acceptance rates.
See recruitment metricsAttrition Analytics
Predict and reduce employee turnover. Track who's leaving, why, from which departments, and with what tenure — using voluntary vs. involuntary exit analysis.
See attrition metricsLeave Analytics
Track leave usage by type, monitor approval status, measure average leave days, and analyze leave trends across departments.
See leave metricsTraining Analytics
Measure training ROI, track completion rates, analyze cost and hours by training type, and quantify pre/post assessment score uplift.

Importing your data
Import lives under Data → Import. Upload a spreadsheet, confirm how the columns map to fields, then review the results. You can import all eight datasets, or start with just the Employee Master.
The Employee Master comes first
- 1
Upload a file
Drag in an Excel or CSV file. If the workbook has several sheets, pick the one to import and preview the first rows.
- 2
Map the columns
Headers are matched to fields automatically using common aliases. Adjust any mapping that needs it, and save it so the next import of that dataset reuses it.
- 3
Review and import
Rows are validated before anything is written. Invalid rows are reported with the row number and the reason, so nothing is imported silently.
Re-importing is safe
The eight datasets
| Dataset | Required columns | What it powers |
|---|---|---|
| Employee Master | Employee ID, Employee Name | Headcount, tenure, departments, the employee directory and every 360° profile. |
| Payroll | Employee ID, Month | Compensation spend, average salary, overtime and bonus costs, salary bands. |
| Attendance | Employee ID, Month | Attendance rate, WFH and late days, leave days, overtime hours. |
| Performance | Employee ID, Review Period | Average ratings, high and low performers, department performance. |
| Recruitment | Candidate ID, Position | The hiring funnel and candidate pipeline by stage. |
| Leave | Employee ID, Leave Type, Start Date, End Date | Leave usage by type, approval status, average days per employee. |
| Training | Employee ID, Training Name, Start Date | Training hours and spend, completion rate, pre/post score uplift. |
| Attrition | Employee ID, Exit Date, Nature | Turnover rate, voluntary vs. involuntary exits, exit reasons and trends. |
Using the app
Everyday actions
The same handful of actions works on every dashboard, so once you have learned one screen you can use them all.
Search across modules
Look up an employee by name or ID in the Employee Master, run a highest/lowest/range salary search, and search performance, attendance, leave and the audit log.
Drill down to people
Click a month in the attrition chart, a stage in the hiring funnel, or a leave status to list the employees behind the figure — never just a number.
Refresh on demand
Every dashboard has a refresh control, so you can pull the latest numbers after an import without reloading the page.
Export to Excel or image
Download any dashboard as a multi-sheet Excel workbook (.xlsx) for analysis, or as a high-resolution image (.png) for a deck or email.
Add employees by hand
In the Employee Master choose Add employee to create a record manually — ideal for a single new joiner between imports.
Open a 360° profile
Click any employee to see basic details alongside their latest salary, attendance and performance, plus full leave and training history.
Your team
Roles and permissions
Invite teammates from Admin → Invite teammate and choose their role when they join. Roles control which dashboards someone can open, whether they can change data, and which sensitive fields they can see.
| Role | Can see | Can edit |
|---|---|---|
| Super Admin | Every module and all sensitive fields | Everything, including billing |
| HR Admin | Every module and all sensitive fields | All HR data; admin and billing are read-only |
| Payroll / Finance | Payroll only, with salary detail | Payroll |
| Recruiter | Recruitment only | Recruitment |
| L&D Coordinator | Training only | Training |
| Executive | All dashboards, aggregate only — no individual salaries or dates of birth | Nothing |
Invitations are valid for 7 days. New members join your active organization, and anyone who belongs to more than one organization can switch between them from the workspace menu.
Trust
Privacy, masking and the audit trail
HR data is sensitive, so security is part of the data model rather than a setting you turn on later.
Tenant isolation
Each organization's rows are isolated in PostgreSQL with Row Level Security, so no company can reach another's data.
Field masking
Salary, date of birth and exit reason are masked by role. Executives see aggregate spend, not individual salaries.
Audit trail
Every create, edit, archive and import records who did it, when, and the values before and after.
Admins can review every change under Admin → Audit log.

Trial, pricing and billing
Every workspace starts with a 7-day free trial that begins when you first sign in. When the trial ends, choose a plan from Billing to keep your dashboards live.
$1.50 per employee / month
You are billed by the number of active employees in your workspace. Plan brackets keep the price predictable as you grow, and paying yearly saves 10%.
What a seat counts as
Only active, non-archived employees count as billable seats, so former employees kept for history never increase your bill.
| Employees | Monthly | Yearly (save 10%) |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 50 | $75 | $810 |
| Up to 100 | $150 | $1,620 |
| Up to 250 | $375 | $4,050 |
| Up to 500 | $750 | $8,100 |
| Up to 1,000 | $1,500 | $16,200 |
| Up to 2,000 | $3,000 | $32,400 |
| Up to 5,000 | $7,500 | $81,000 |
| Up to 10,000 | $15,000 | $162,000 |
| Up to 25,000 | $37,500 | $405,000 |

Answers
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. Every new workspace gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all dashboards, and the trial starts the first time you sign in.
- Which file types can I import?
- Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV (.csv). Multi-sheet workbooks are supported — you pick which sheet to import.
- What happens if I import the same file twice?
- Nothing breaks. Each dataset matches on a key such as Employee ID and month, so re-importing updates the existing rows instead of creating duplicates.
- Can I delete an employee?
- You archive them instead. The employee disappears from the master list and search, but their payroll, attendance, leave, training and performance history is kept, and you can restore them at any time.
- Is my data separate from other companies?
- Yes. Every organization is isolated at the database level with PostgreSQL Row Level Security, so one company's data can never be read by another.
- Why can't I see an employee's salary?
- Sensitive fields such as salary, date of birth and exit reason are masked based on your role. Ask a Super Admin to change your role if you need them.
